Gardening Tools

Gardening tools are designed to perform a variety of tasks. Because different garden forms and plant species require different types of care, an endless amount of specific instruments exist. Of course, there are also plenty of basic items available.

A few of the most common gardening tools include spades, spade forks, hoes, rakes, and shovels. These different appliances are used to accomplish such tasks as removing weeds and rocks or opening and leveling the soil. Many will come in different sizes to suit different project scales.

Examples of less common gardening tools include rolling nut gatherers, corkscrew weeders, or tiger trowels. The rolling nut gatherers are used to pick up stray nuts in numerous conditions, including tall grass. The corkscrew weeding tools are a newer innovation for root removal and tiger trowels are designed to operate as spades with some more aggressive cutting options.
